The sole Sleepy Hollow Horseman to qualify for the N.Y. State Championship was Gillian Berger. As the number one seed in the Triple Jump at 30-0.50, she won the event with her distance of 37-08, and now heads for the State Championships, scheduled to be held at Cicero-North High School in Syracuse on June 8th and 9th.

Berger's time put her in the National Elite category. With the Nation Silver Standard at 36-00, it illustrates the great talent of the University of Pennsylvania-bound athlete. She was one of a total of 68 girls and boys who thusly qualified in the meet held at White Plains High on June 1st.
